Statement of Faith
While we agree with nearly every denominational view of the contemporary protestant church on key points of doctrine, we set ourselves apart in the following manner:
We choose to believe ALL of God's Word. Unless clearly stated or implied as metaphorical or symbolic, we take it as literal. We choose to believe that all of scripture is profitable for doctrine, reproof, for correction and instruction in righteousness. And we choose to believe that all of its lessons, rights, responsibilities, and promises are for US! We choose not to make excuses for true scriptures that are not true in our lives.... We acknowledge that the false doctrine of dispensations is a manmade means to rob us of the whole truth. We bind ourselves by the Word of God, and free ourselves of anything added to it by religious tradition. We acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God. As such, His Words are to be taken with absolute authority. His Words are those best to be trusted regarding our view of the rest of scripture. We do not define our lives and understanding by subjective examples, rather by objective faith in the absolute Word of God. We are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Therefore, despite what anyone may see with their eyes... we are distinguished by our radical expectation that God's Word is ALWAYS true, and there is never an occasion where He will not keep His Word. Nor is He so small, that He would seek obscure loopholes from which He may escape His promises. We devote ourselves to carefully examining scripture, so that we may be workmen that need not be ashamed, accurately handling the Word of Truth.
