What is a "Mighty Man"?

Definition of a MIGHTY MAN What distinguishes one man as a Mighty Man in the Kingdom of Heaven? Well, it’s the result truly of many choices all along the way so it would be too easy to oversimplify it by a single statement. That being said, I do believe I can capture the essence of it. Two operative words come to mind. Humility, and Submission. To know that there is a God (and I am not Him) is the beginning of Wisdom. But the most important aspect is that of an autonomous being relinquishing his self-will to His God.

God's eyes search to and fro over the face of the earth looking for one man who will believe, receive, and act upon His Word. Only then can His power flow through as it’s meant to flow to the world around us. A mighty man is a man who has come to terms with himself. He is a prisoner in chains to His God. He is a “vessel of dishonor” who has laid down his arms and opened his heart. Like it or not, we have everything in the world to do with the degree to which God may act within our world, as we are the conduit for His blessings. The Holy Spirit does not force Himself on anyone. If there is no willing vessel, by and large the work simply does not get done for yet another generation.

A mighty man is one who rejoices in his infirmities, for it is through his weakness that God's strength is manifest. A man that maintains self will, and debates with God, and requires things of His God, as if His God owed him something is not and cannot be a mighty man. Whether we like it or not, all men, all Christian men are not equal. There is good, and there is great, and they are not the same.

Our Calling - Fight for Freedom! by Ryker Kern

It was Job that said, The Lord gives and the Lord takes away.  But clearly it was not God that took anything from Him.  You see Job also said, "The thing I greatly feared, is the thing that has come upon me."  ( Job 3:25) You see, what we say… goes!   God says, “whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth is loosed in Heaven.” ( Matthew 18:18 )  Literally, it means YOU have authority.  If you say something is acceptable, then God is going to agree, if you say it is not, then again, He will agree.  In other words, God will back up whatever you say.     Fear is the opposite of faith.  Fear invites the Devil in, Faith invites God in.     You choose....

Job's problem was that he had so much to lose…   He was a good and faithful man.  But, God clearly does not always protect us from our own foolishness.   But as for me, oppression will not come near me, because I will not fear.  I choose to believe God, no matter what.  Have bad things come my way and forced themselves upon me in the past?  Of course, but that does not change the fact that God's Word is true.  I always go back to the one variable that is not always true... that is me.       (Click on "Read More" in the border below)

A Defenseless Church - by Ryker Ridge Kern

John 10:10 says, The thief comes but for to steal, kill, and destroy...But I come that you might have life and have it abundantly.

I want to challenge the religious tradition that says that all the bad things that happen in our lives are just as much a Part of God's Will as the good things are.  This is a twisted view of God's sovereignty, and is a lie.  God does not abuse, nor kill His Children.  Granted, He is a God of Justice.  But if I treated my children the way that Christians accuse God of treating His, the state would rightfully move in, take them from me, and put me in prison.

God's will and deepest desires are no big secret at all.  In the time to come, I will prove this point to you over and over.  Here is the major problem that this twisted view of God produces (there are many but I will start with this one).

The only way the Devil will flee from you or your family is if you resist him.  So, lets say that he fools you into thinking that the things he is doing are all apart of God's sovereign plan.  Will you resist him?  No, instead you will embrace it.  In effect, you lay down your shield of faith, pull off your breast plate of righteousness, toss your helmet of salvation on the ground, swing your belt of truth over your head and throw it into the bushes, then with a kick you fling your shoes of the preparation of the gospel of peace aside.  And there you stand completely defenseless.  (Click on "Read More" in the border below)
