THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (PART 3)

There are very practical steps to find God's will for your life in the Kingdom of Heaven, and learn how to walk in VICTORY.   We will discuss some of those here.    Some of these will sound familiar, if you have looked at any  New Age bestseller books lately.    For the spiritual principles of the Word of God are available to any who may use them…. even for those who do not profess Jesus as their Lord.      The same benefits apply in a limited fashion… temporarily, at least.   (Even the sorcerers who Moses met were able to do some of the miracles…. )   After all, the Creator made us in his image. We are able to create our own world as we wish…  and we get what we expect. 

And many do, creating kingdoms for themselves… and thus the wicked seem to prosper for a short time.

They continue doing what they please, without accountability to anyone. Jesus said, "for the sons of this world are more shrewd in relation to their own kind than the sons of light." (Luke 16:8)

But, as His followers, if we submit our lives to Him, He teaches us how to prosper and walk in health… and it is permanent and ever-increasing!   It won't crumble around us when the storms come....  "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is saved!   A rich man's wealth is his strong city, and like a high wall in his own imagination." PRINCIPLE 1  - LEARN TO DREAM!

First, we must realize that Jesus came to buy back paradise for us. We are no longer under the curse, we have been redeemed from a life of "just-make-do". There is no "fallen world" that has jurisdiction over our lives. For even nature itself is subject to US, and not to the prince of this world (satan) any longer! (More on this later…)

"For if by the transgression of the one (Adam) death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness WILL REIGN IN LIFE through the One, Jesus Christ." (Romans 5:17)
 

Reign in life? What exactly does that mean? Do we really have to ask?!

"Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it." (Psalm 37: 4-5)
 

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want…" (Psalm 23:1)    Many young believers misinterpret this to be an 11th Commandment… Thou Shalt Not Want Anything.    Erase your desires, and you won't be disappointed. (Which sounds more like Buddhism….)   What kind of faith is that?!   It is not faith… An attitude like that offends the Lord who went through so much suffering, so that you can have everything!     It actually wastes His sacrifice, and negates our faith in Him, because - "Faith is the substance of things HOPED for, the evidence of things not seen!" (Hebrews 11:1) 
 

The 23rd Psalm actually details that we shall not want FOR anything. We shall not LACK!   Read the rest of it; we will be partakers of paradise, He will spread a feast for us in the presence of our enemies, and we shall be protected from harm.
 

So, what do you want? What do you HOPE for? There is no lack in God's kingdom, and He delights in showing us how to take hold of His promises, and believe until we receive them. Do you want Long Life? Health? Children? Happy family life? Business success? Influence with others? All of the above? These are all promises in His Word; and are available to us. Having all these things in our lives are part of the normal, EXTREME Christian experience.
 

So ACTIVATE these promises in your life by asking for them.
 

"And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him." (1 John 5:14-15)
